Prime Mover
FAWDE water cooled generator drive diesel engine rated 15 kVA prime standby at 1500 rpm at NTP site conditions.

Alternator
15 kVA Prime rated 4 pole 400/230 volt three phase 50 Hertz single bearing industrial type alternator having a
compound auxiliary winding on top of the stator winding with a brushless excitation system including a main
terminal box mounted electronic Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR).

Tank
The Diesel Engine/Alternator combination is mounted onto a substantial stress relieved fabricated base frame with
anti-vibration mountings incorporating a large fuel tank.

Controls & Protection
The Diesel Generating Set will be controlled by an automatic mains failure controller complete with a motorised
changeover switch, an alternator protection circuit breaker, 12 volt 4 amp CVC battery charger and a full set of
instrumentation, including voltage, three phase current, frequency, running hour meter and engine protection (high
engine temperature and low oil pressure with additional inputs available).
